Once your installation is complete, you should power up the unit if the installer or service provider has not already done so. You may hear your high water alarm system activate. This is normal if your new unit has not been filled with fresh water or the switch may need to be adjusted. Make sure the unit is completely filled with fresh water to the point of discharge. If your installation has a sprinkler system attached to it, make sure the power is supplied to the sprinkler pump. Keep filling the tank until your sprinklers are turned on. You can fill the tank by using the cleanout cap which should be located inline between the tank and the house. If the alarm is still sounding after the tank has been filled completely, call your installer or service provider.
Each Day:
1. Make sure power is always supplied to the unit. The Cajun Aire only accepts 110 voltage. Using 220 volts will result in system failure and void the warranty.
2. Listen for the alarm. If you should hear the alarm, call your service provider.
3. Monitor what goes into the system from within the house.
Bi-annually:
1. Call to set up an initial service call with your service provider. During your first 2 years, you are under an initial service contract with the people who installed the unit unless they sub contract this work out to a Cajun Aire Service Provider. In which case, you would call them. Some states require that the unit be inspected during the initial two years more often than every 6 months. In either case, you need to know who is responsible for this as this is a national and state level requirement.
