Manufacturing the Cajun Aire tank is easy. Currently we are using two different type of molds - the pot belly middle seam tank (sometimes called the two piece or clamshell tank) The middle seam tank is produced in two half molds, one for the top and one for the bottom. These molds have a simple hydraulic system to (which is standard equipment) on each half. The hydraulic system makes simple work of casting separation in the morning. This greatly limits the amount of time needed during the mold breakdown and setup process. Total work time from breakdown to assembly usually around 30 minutes.
The second type of molds that we offer is the one piece design using an inner collapsable style mold. This mold produces an up-side-down casting that will need to be turned upon break down just like the bottom half on the middle seam system.
We will have images of each type of mold here soon.
